Also check out these mechanical keyboard reviews if you don’t mind a bit of noise and love the clicks!!!
I’ve used the Logitech K120, and that’s the keyboard I’m looking to replace for being too noisy. I’m a software engineer of 20+ years, so I type a lot, and I’m pretty good at it. I don’t think I’m a button masher, and I don’t think I’m the problem for the noise. I got to your page while searching for quiet keyboards I could buy. But if you say that the K120 is quiet, I’m not sure which of your suggestions I would agree with.
I think my next purchase will be a Logitech K740. I wrote to them and asked for a suggestion of their products, and that’s the one they pointed me to. I also then found reviews for it that suggest it might actually be close to silent.
Kevin, I have K120 as well and I hate it, this is the noisiest keyboard I ever had.
However in the article they mention the K740 not K120!!!
Logitech K750 solar powered is by far the best keyboard i’ve ever used for confort, quiet and slim profile. It has a very slight curvature on the keycaps and it’s “chiclet” mechanism is a delight to press. Also as a bonus is very slim, solar powered (or artificial light works aswell) and wireless.
I’ve tested more logitechs, some red and blue Cherry switches mechanical keyboards, some laptop-like slim profile keyboards, some razers, corsair, you name it. My quest for the most confortable keyboard ended after a dozen buys and i’ve never tried another one after this K750.
None of these mention wpm/typing speed. I’d love to know more about which ones are both quiet and increasing a person’s typing speed because most of the ones I’ve found that do are the louder, tactile ones.
